How to engage with your audience and earn - learn from Rachel Miller and Ryan Levesque

One of the leading exerts in the social selling space is Rachel Miller. If you haven't heard of her, do make an effort to check her website and online programmes.

Rachel promotes a 3 step method of engaging with your audience:

1. Engage your audience on an emotional level!

She suggests asking your audience 3 questions:

  • Who are you?”
  • “What’s most important to you?”
  • “What are your struggles?”
2. Find Pain points!

What problems can you solve that are real issues and you can build a solution for.
Narrow down a sub-niche of your audience. For example, instead of generic gardening, you can pick orchids as a sub-niche.
Understanding your target customers' struggles is key so you can serve them well.

3. Ask your audience!

Rachel is using Ryan Levesque's ASK method.
For this you don't need a website, all you need is a niche and people.
Discovery - Start with finding out what people don't want, some people are not sure what they want so it's easier to engage this way.
Segment - Uncover the highly responsive buckets/niches of people and target them first; you can have a simple questionnaire/form - "which of the following best describes you" and you can segment people that way. You should then aim to have slightly different messages for the different niches.
Non-buyers - don't be afraid to ask them "why didn't you buy", this can tell you the answer of what else you need to do next.

Once you understand this, you can build your solution.
